Help your students join CSI (Climate Science Investigators)! Take science outdoors and increase student engagement with hands-on, place-based activities to implement the three dimensions of the Wisconsin Science Standards/NGSS. Explore carbon cycling and climate science through forestry, energy, water, and wildlife topics, get ready-made solution-oriented lesson plans, and get an infrared thermometer to measure surface temperatures on school grounds everywhere, even dense urban settings.

Participants will also explore how earning recognition for their work through the Green and Healthy Schools badge program can help share their stories statewide. Register today to practice climate curriculum integration with free, easily accessible ready-to-use lessons and activities that are supported by a free kit lending library and connected to standards, including assessment strategies.

The day will include a tour of the famous Leopold Shack and Aldo Leopold Legacy Center.

Hosted by KEEP—Wisconsin's K-12 Energy Education Program, LEAF—Wisconsin's K-12 Forestry Education Program, Green & Healthy Schools, and Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Logistics: this workshop will be held in the Seed Hall at the Aldo Leopold Foundation. We will spend significant amount of time outdoors. Please dress for the weather. Sunscreen and insect repellent are recommended.
