Under in the Mud Storytime Edventure

Join FIELD Edventures and author Laureanna Raymond-Duvernell for a live reading of her book Under in the Mud. "Where do animals go in the winter?" many often wonder: it is a natural curiosity about the cycle of nature right outside our doors. Under in the Mud introduces ten different animals and how they survive winter's cold temperatures. With rhyming verses, readers of all ages can find actions that mirror their own seasonal habits.
After the reading participants will hear from Laureanna about her inspiration for the book and ask questions. Participants will also receive a complementary Activity Guide designed around the book to deepen learning.
This read aloud is one in a series of readings - Story Edventures - that use stories as a springboard for learning outdoors. Each reading is accompanied by ideas for students to connect, explore, and engage in nature near their homes. Watch a recording of Mr. McGinty's Monarchs Story Edventure and check back often for new readings at eekwi.org/blog.
